You Have To Go 1 Step Back To Go 2 Steps Forward
1 STEP BACK TO GO 2 STEPS FORWARD
This might sound strange, but there's an important lesson here.
The most dangerous place to be in life isn't at rock bottom or even at the top of success, it's right in the middle.
Being average is the most dangerous position—not the best, but not uncomfortable enough to want to change.
Change usually happens because of discomfort. Maybe you're heavier than you want to be, poorer than you want to be, or in an unhappy relationship.
Discomfort is what sparks the desire to make a change.
If you're just 'okay,' you feel no need to change, and that's dangerous because if you stay in the middle, you don’t grow, you don’t achieve excellence or chase your dreams. You just stay where you are because there's no push to move forward.
If you want to grow in anything, you first have to see the potential of what you could become. Imagine meeting your future self, the one who achieved all their goals and became the best version of themselves. Then, put yourself in a position where staying the same is too uncomfortable.
Doing this will bring amazing improvements.
You might see this in your own life.
You might not feel the need to change physically or financially because you're 'doing okay,' but you know you're not reaching your full potential.
You know you could be more, achieve more, have a better physique, or make more money. But nothing will push you until you realize what you could become if you just made those changes and raised your standards.
Once you have your dream body and you're making $10,000 a month, you won't want to go back. You can't and you won't, because if you do, you're not meeting your own standards.
ACTIONABLE NEXT STEPS:
Don't ruin your life to improve it, but make small changes. If your 'dad-bod' is 'not too bad,' make it bad, and watch the fire light up inside you again. This applies to everything.
Set your own standards where you feel comfortable, and if you keep raising them, you're guaranteed to grow.
